IDOLS Entertainment is seeking a creative and skilled Level Designer to join our team for an exciting survival horror project, Project Shadowstone. Set in the haunting, abandoned mining town during the 1970s, Project Shadowstone combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and horror in a unique cooperative multiplayer experience. We’re looking for a Level Designer who can bring innovative ideas to life, focusing on level ownership, atmosphere, and engaging gameplay.
Responsibilities:
Design, iterate, and implement immersive 3D environments that emphasize horror elements and player engagement.
Collaborate with the engineering, art, and design teams to create compelling environments, gameplay mechanics, and interactive features.
Use Unreal Engine to develop levels that balance exploration, resource management, and strategic survival.
Work closely with producers to plan and prioritize your development schedule, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality levels.
Take ownership of your designs, from concept to final polish, to achieve a seamless, terrifying experience for players.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in level design for 3D environments, ideally with a focus on horror or survival gameplay.
Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine, particularly with level design and event scripting.
Experience with one or more shipped titles (AAA or Indie) is highly valued.
Ability to communicate visually and effectively pitch your ideas and designs to the team.
Familiarity with design software like Maya, Max, or Adobe Suite is a plus.
Passion for storytelling through environmental design, and a cinematic eye for detail and atmosphere.
