Senior Animator

IDOLS Entertainment is looking for a highly skilled Senior Animator to join our team for Project Shadowstone, a survival horror game set in a haunting 1970s mining town. We’re seeking someone who can create realistic and dynamic animations that bring the world, characters, and creatures to life, heightening immersion and suspense. As a Senior Animator, you’ll lead in crafting animations that drive the game’s atmosphere and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement high-quality character, creature, and environmental animations that enhance the horror experience and support gameplay mechanics.

• Collaborate closely with designers, riggers, and other artists to integrate animations seamlessly into Unreal Engine, ensuring smooth gameplay.

• Establish and maintain animation workflows and pipelines, mentoring junior animators and providing feedback to uphold quality standards.

• Troubleshoot and polish animations, optimizing them for performance while achieving a cinematic feel.

• Work with the creative team to ensure animations align with the project’s artistic vision, enhancing the eerie and unsettling atmosphere of Project Shadowstone.

What We're Looking For:

• Extensive experience in animation for games, with a portfolio demonstrating realistic and expressive animations.

• Proficiency in animation tools such as Maya and knowledge of Unreal Engine’s animation systems.

• Strong understanding of anatomy, movement, and weight for creating lifelike and impactful animations.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and lead, with experience mentoring junior team members.

• A passion for horror storytelling and a cinematic eye for creating animations that elevate player immersion.
